The views were breath taking and a interesting place to visit. You can learn about the historical of the Mill. More tourists should know about this area. There are several trails from easy walking and biking trails to more rugged trail running. There's also a decent amount of parking spaces and an open lawn for picnicking.
So beautiful and tranquil. I love the small waterfall and walking along the trails. The mill itself has a lot of history but I use this location to start my walks and there is a public restroom.

I sincerely hope the District of Columbia "DC" will favor preserving a piece of Nature at its heart versus more encroachments into this preserve.
"Rock Creek" is an invaluable preserve, estuary, and quiet spacet hat runs the length of DC and connects other green corridors that provide struggling Nature and Wildlife particularly, help in their sheer survival.

We walked over here from the Connecticut Avenue exit point. It took around 30 minutes, and the path to the mill is easy and clear.
It’s not crowded on the weekend so you can take your time to take a look at the exhibit.
Mill has undergone a fresh $3 million renovation. 4 floors of history. Museum guide gave a helpful (and free) talk about how the mill worked. Take a step back in history to explore this gem. A visit takes as little as 10 minutes. You can also learn more about Rock creek there as well.
Historical landmark. I like that the old water driven contraption is still maintained and visible (it doesn't work anymore, just stationary). A prominent point if you are looking for directions to Rock Creek park.
